Learning to fly with the aeroclub

Our Training Facility

The Northern Rivers Aero Club offers pilot training for the Recreational Aviation Certificate through to a Commercial Pilot Licence. We carry out our training in packages, so you will always know the TOTAL COST of each phase. When shopping around, always find out if they offer fixed prices. Our courses are tailor-made to suit each student. Our instructors have both civil (GA and Airline) and military experience: the best of both worlds. We encourage students to carry out their navigation exercises around Australia to really build up their confidence and improve their decision-making whilst flying.  Our feedback received from senior pilots in  General Aviation Charter Companies points out the shortcomings of newly qualified pilots (see pilot report). We take pride in producing confident pilots that meet the aviation industry standards.  It is, therefore, our duty to ensure proper training from day one. Our former students have now all moved on to charter companies or ADFA. Lismore airport is only a short drive from the Gold Coast. Unlike in its busier counterparts, students spend more time in the air rather than waiting on the ground. Our training environment is not only professional but also fun. After all, students should be able to enjoy what they are doing!

Monthly Lunch

Come and join us for breakfast on the following dates.
